Mousekat Head

I got the idea to make a big carnival head out of Mod Roc, cardboard, sponge and poly fill. It’s all built onto an old motorcycle helmet, and finished with white paint, UV reactive paint and fake fur. It was initially inspired by a music video for a costume party, but took on a life of its own.

It’s very big and very heavy, but looks pretty striking.

These photos were taken by my friend Asher Lawrence Cole, and there are plans to extend the shoot to include some outdoor scenes with the head, and a few showing the colours under ultraviolet light.

It’s been nicknamed a few things, including Mousekat, Lucky Charms and Prototype.
